Less than 1% of Japan's matcha comes from Yame, a small region known for producing some of Japan's finest teas.

Yame matcha is known for its naturally nutty sweetness — a flavour profile rarely found in matcha from anywhere else.

The misty mornings of Yame create a natural "fog curtain" that helps tea leaves grow sweeter and richer in flavour.

In 1191, tea seeds arrived in Kyushu with the monk Eisai. Today, the same island is home to Yame's renowned matcha.

First harvest leaves are shade-grown for about 3–4 weeks before picking. Less sunlight boosts chlorophyll and L-theanine, giving matcha its deep green colour and rich umami.

A good whisk creates a fine layer of foam that softens bitterness, highlights sweetness, and makes every sip feel a little smoother.

A powder room is where one goes to freshen up. Ours just happens to do so with tea powders.
