Before The Powder Room, I spent years searching for a cup of matcha I could genuinely look forward to every day — one with the depth, warmth and naturally nutty richness I loved.
That search led me to Yame, Fukuoka, where I walked the tea fields, tasted across harvests, and spent time with producers whose families have shaped this region’s tea craft for generations.
Nothing I had tasted before came close to the character of Yame matcha: its deep nuttiness, gentle sweetness and remarkable depth.
I built The Powder Room around that discovery because I wanted to share that cup with more people — not as a wellness ritual to perfect or a connoisseur’s pursuit to master, but as a simple, beautiful moment you can return to every day.
