This Shiratake Kazuho Chasen was made in Takayama, Nara by Master Craftsman Inoue Wakasa (井上若狭)
Crafted from white bamboo and finished with black thread, this kazuho chasen is a versatile and refined whisk — suitable for whisking a frothy, airy usucha and kneading a thick, rich koicha. Its slender 2.3cm handle sits naturally in the hand, whether you're just beginning your matcha practice or have been whisking for years.
Each piece is entirely handmade and one-of-a-kind, adapted to the unique properties of that individual piece of bamboo. That devotion is something you feel the moment it's in your hands.
