To celebrate our birthday, this exclusive set brings together our handcrafted Ninsei-gata chawan and Emi, a limited-edition Yabukita matcha from Yame, Fukuoka.
Inspired by the Ninsei-gata style of tea bowls, its gently grooved rim creates an elegant, asymmetrical silhouette, while the layered blue glaze evokes open skies, calm waters, and weathered stone.
Paired with Emi's deep cacao notes, buttery cashew richness, and smooth, balanced finish, this set is an invitation to slow down, savour the moment, and celebrate the simple joy of sharing matcha.
ABOUT THE CHAWAN
Designed and handcrafted by Ponyee Keramik, an Indonesia-based ceramic artist specialising in handmade pottery goods.
Each bowl comes beautifully wrapped in our hand-sewn furoshiki. The fabric is specially sourced to echo the tones and movement of the bowl's glaze, tying every element into one thoughtful experience.
Note: Each piece is unique, subtle variations in shape and glaze are a natural reflection of the handmade process and the artist's craftsmanship.
