Created to celebrate The Powder Room's birthday, this limited edition of just 10 handcrafted chawan marks a special milestone.
Inspired by the Kutsu-gata style of tea bowls, it features a softly irregular rim that creates an organic, asymmetrical silhouette and a quiet sense of movement. The bowl's organic form is inspired by nature, echoing the soft curves of weathered stones shaped over time. The layered blue glaze captures the shifting tones of sky and water, while the soft white rim recalls the texture of natural stone.
Designed and handcrafted by Indonesia-based ceramic artist Ponyee Keramik, each chawan is individually hand-thrown and sculpted, making every piece one of a kind, with subtle variations in shape and glaze that reflect the handmade process. Glazed inside and out, each bowl holds enough volume to prepare two cups of matcha and is designed to be used and appreciated every day.

Packaging: Each bowl comes beautifully wrapped in our hand-sewn furoshiki. The fabric is specially sourced to echo the tones and movement of the bowl's glaze, tying every element into one thoughtful experience.
